The Hallensteins brand is something of a New Zealand institution, having been founded in the 1800s by German immigrant Bendix Hallenstein, first as a general store and then as a menswear supplier.
Today, its stores sell fashionable clothes suitable for a wide age range, as well as wardrobe staples such as jeans and casual t-shirts.
The are two Wellington stores, in Cuba Street and on Lambton Quay and both carry a range of casual and more formal clothing and accessories including shoes, bags and belts.
